Suspended Axis

Description

Suspended Axis brings together wheel-thrown stoneware, hand-blown glass, water and light in a sculptural object that reconsiders the traditional vessel. Rather than existing as a closed form, it opens a dialogue between interior and exterior, opacity and transparency, weight and suspension. Water and light continuously reshape the object through reflection and refraction, inviting the viewer to look both into and through the work while blurring the boundaries between material, space and perception.
